ARTSPACE/LIMA OFFERS A PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SERIES
September 27, 2007, Lima, Ohio: ArtSpace/Lima in conjunction with the Ohio Arts Council and The Lima City Schools will offer a general education professional development series entitled,
"The Narrative Nature of the Visual Arts". The series will complement the
existing exhibition, "Locked in the Attic", featuring the work of Harry Melroy.
The first lecture will be held Wednesday, October 10th featuring Benjamin Sapp, Director of the Mazza Museum in Findlay. On Thursday, October 18th, Hal Kugeler, Director of Publications and Graphics for the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago will speak. The
third lecturer will be the artist, Harry Melroy, himself speaking Wednesday, October 24th. All three events will be from 6pm
-- 9pm and a light meal will be served. The three sessions offered will allow local educators the opportunity to earn CEU's. Educators will be admitted free of charge; general public admission is $15.00. Please visit our website at www.artspacelima.com for additional information. ArtSpace/Lima's gallery hours are Tues.

A CEU certificate will be issued for each session. All three sessions = 9 hours.
Additional hours of credit are available:
Develop a one page gallery activity for lay and teaching public. These one page works should be done by October 20, 2007 so they can be used in the gallery.
2 hours = .2 CEU's
Develop and execute at least one lesson plan that incorporates dual standards Visual Art and Language Arts.
2 hours = .2 CEU's
T.B.A. final session at ArtSpace/Lima to share out written work and reflect on total sessions.
2 hours = .2 CEU's
