ARTSPACE/LIMA OFFERS A PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SERIES
January 2, 2008, Lima, Ohio: ArtSpace/Lima in conjunction with the Ohio Arts Council and The Lima City Schools will offer a general education professional development series focused on photography. The series will compliment the
existing juried photography exhibition sponsored by ArtSpace/Lima's Photography Club opening January 11th.
The first lecture will be held Thursday, January 24th featuring Bastien Desfriches Doria, Assistant Professor of Photography and Digital Imaging at Governors State University in University Park, IL. On Wednesday, February 6th, Beth Basista, Professor
of Physics and Distance Learning at Wright State University and landscape photographer from Piqua, OH will speak. Both events will be from 6pm
-- 9pm and a light meal will be served. The two sessions offered will allow local educators the opportunity to earn CEU's. Educators will be admitted free of charge; general public admission is $15.00. Please visit our website at

Photographs"
Attendees should bring 2 or 3 of their own photographs for critiquing.

A CEU certificate will be issued for each session. Both sessions = 6 hours.
Additional hours of credit are available:
Develop a one page gallery activity for lay and teaching public. These one page works should be done by October 20, 2007 so they can be used in the gallery.
2 hours = .2 CEU's
Develop and execute at least one lesson plan that incorporates dual standards Visual Art and Language Arts.
2 hours = .2 CEU's
T.B.A. final session at ArtSpace/Lima to share out written work and reflect on total sessions.
2 hours = .2 CEU's
